Information Collection & Use
TallyGenicom (or "We") is the sole owner of the information collected on the TallyGenicom website ("TallyGenicom site"). We will not use or disclose this information to others in ways different from what is stated in this Privacy Policy.
We collect information from the user at several different points on the TallyGenicom site and maintain this information in our customer database. In order to use some of the services and products available on the TallyGenicom site, the user must first complete a registration process. During the registration process, the user are required to provide personal information, such as name, address and email address. In addition, if the user request any services or products for which we charge a fee, the user must provide certain financial information, such as credit card number and expiration date.
We use the information that we collect from the user to provide the requested services and products, to enable billing, and to provide the user with information about related products and services based on the user preferences. We also use this information to improve the TallyGenicom site, to notify customers about updates to the TallyGenicom site or new products and services, for development of new products and services, and for systems administration and troubleshooting purposes.
We partner with third parties to provide certain products and services. When the user orders any of these products or services, we will provide the user name or other personal information that is necessary for such third parties to provide these products and/or services. We instruct these other parties not to use any personally identifiable information except in connection with the requested products and services. However, we provide no assurances with regard to any such party's use of such information.
We may share information with our resellers for purposes of assisting in the sale of our products and services. We may provide certain non-personally identifiable information to third parties in aggregate form. We use IP addresses and domain names of visitors to analyze trends, administer the TallyGenicom site, track user's movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 18 years of age, nor do we knowingly market to children under 18 years of age.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, we will disclose information required to be released pursuant to federal, state or local law. |
Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on a user's hard drive containing information about the user. Usage of a cookie may be linked to any personally identifiable information while on the TallyGenicom site. If a user rejects the cookie, he or she may still use the TallyGenicom site. The only drawback to this is that he or she will be limited in some areas of the TallyGenicom site. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance their experience on the TallyGenicom site. |
Sharing
From time to time, we share our customer lists with other reputable organizations whose products and services may be of interest to our customers. We offer the user the option not to have personal information shared with others, unless such sharing is required to fulfill the user's request for products or services. Choice/Opt-Out
The user is given the opportunity to "opt out" of having information used for purposes not directly related to the TallyGenicom site. If the user does not initially "opt out" of having information used for purposes not directly related to the TallyGenicom site, but wish to do so in the future, they may do so by emailing us at webmaster@tallygenicom.com. |
Security
We have implemented a number of security features throughout the TallyGenicom site to prevent the unauthorized release of or access to the personal information that we collect. For example, only authorized personnel have access to any stored personal information. Please be advised, however, that although we have endeavored to create a secure and reliable site for our users, the confidentiality of any communication or material transmitted to or from the TallyGenicom site cannot be guaranteed. When disclosing any personal information, the user should remain mindful of the fact that it is potentially accessible to the public and, consequently, can be potentially collected and used by others without consent. The user should therefore consider carefully if they want to submit sensitive information that they would not want disclosed to the public. the user should also recognize that the user use of the Internet and the TallyGenicom site is solely at the user own risk. the user agree that we have no responsibility or liability for the security of personal information transmitted via the Internet. Nevertheless, we urge the user to exercise caution when conveying personal information over the Internet. |
Correction/Update Personal Information
The user may review and approve the information collected upon registration. If any of this information changes, or if the user no longer desires our products and services, we will correct, update or remove the information that was provided to us. The user may request that we do so by emailing us at webmaster@tallygenicom.com. However, please be aware that some of the information contained in our databases may come from other sources, including third party mailing lists, and we will not be responsible for removing any information that we receive from such other sources. |

The TallyGenicom site may be linked to other sites. TallyGenicom is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage the user to be aware when leaving the TallyGenicom site and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information.
