SUMMARY: When Chooser is selected, a dialog box opens with the error SORRY, TI MICROxxxx CANNOT BE USED (where xxxx is LASER or WRITER).
CAUSE: The Paper Tray Manager (PTM) drivers developed for System 6 are installed in a higher version of MacOS.
SOLUTION: Remove PTM and re-install LaserWriter and the appropriate PPD files:
Delete the files associated with PTM for the microLaser, microLaser Plus, and microLaser XL:
Extensions folder
- TI microLaser
- DF_TI_microLaser
- @ Printertypes
Control Panel folder
- Printer Types
Delete the files associated with PTM for the microWriter:
Extensions folder
- TI microWriter
- DF_TI_microwriter
- @ Printertypes
Control Panel Folder
- Printer Types
Re-install LaserWriter.
Install the PPD driver files for the appropriate model.
